Haidar Abad School is located in Bamyan, Afghanistan. In 1976, the Haidar Abad boys school was established, but it did not have a building and the students were taught in mosques and other places of worship under the name of Gholghola Haidar Abad Boys primary school. In 2003, the school became a secondary school and in 2008 the school became a high school, accepting female students. In 2010, the first cohort of graduates consisted of 12 boys and 4 girls. In 2011, 22 students graduated from grade 12. The following year in 2012, 20 male and 7 female students graduated. The trend continued and in 2017, 192 boys and 59 girls graduated from Haidar Abad Schoo. In 2018, there were 1356 students, 589 girls and 763 boys, enrolled. The school functions on a double-shift, segregating the male and female students. The school offers classes from grade 1 to 12.

A contract was signed with the Administrative Council of Haidar Abad School in Bamyan to construct and fund a library that will provide access to books for primary and secondary students at the school. This project will reach 1352 female and male students from grades 1 to 12. Learn more about the library project here.
